As a Patient Access Coordinator, you will organize the activities and workflow of the Patient Access area. This role will allow you to create a foundation in healthcare and explore opportunities at Cleveland Clinic. Your fellow caregivers will encourage you in enhancing your customer service skills and finding your place within the organization.
A caregiver in this position worksMonday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Organize and coordinate the activities and flow of work for the patient access area.
Develop,implementand oversee programs to improve appointmentutilizationsuchasreminder, follow-up on no-show/cancellation program.
Coordinate activities and resolve operational problems.
Adjust employees,patientsand physicians’ schedules to respond to operational problems.
Control and audit the reconciliation of daysheetsincluding adjusting statistics in the computer data bank.
Produce reports as needed.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma or GED
Two yearsofCleveland Clinic outpatient scheduling experience or equivalent,includinginteracting with patients,physicians,and other departments on a problem resolution basis
OR three yearsofexternal outpatient scheduling experience, includingresolving patient scheduling and the coordination of the work of others
ORAssociateDegreeand one year ofexperience
ORBachelor’s Degree
