Baptist Health Medical Group in Shelbyville, KY is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator for the Primary Care team in the Louisville area. This full-time, first-shift role focuses on welcoming patients, accurate data collection, and insurance verification to ensure a smooth visit.

The incumbent will register patients, discuss financial responsibilities, and support operations with registration software while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Welcome patients and provide outstanding customer service in person and over the phone.
• Register patients accurately by collecting demographic, insurance, and visit information.
• Verify insurance eligibility, Medicare compliance, and patient benefits before appointments.
• Pre-register patients and discuss insurance benefits and financial responsibilities with confidence and compassion.
• Calculate patient responsibility estimates and collect point-of-service payments while explaining payment expectations and available payment options.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed.
• Utilize patient access and registration software to support efficient office operations.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations related to patient access services.
• Complete ongoing education and training requirements.
• Support the team by performing additional administrative duties as needed.
