A leading healthcare provider in San Antonio is seeking a support staff member to assist with admissions and registration operations. The role involves supervising daily functions, ensuring timely admissions, and providing excellent customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality. Candidates should have a high school diploma and experience in a healthcare environment.
POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists team leaders and managers with the supervision of shift operations and productivity. Promotes a team environment. Oversees the daily functions for Admissions and Registration, Financial Counseling, and Bed Control. Ensures that admissions and discharges are accurate and timely. Maintains strict confidentiality of patient records. Provides excellent customer service and adheres to the standards and behaviors of University Health.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required. One year of college study or the completion of a recognized clerical vocational training program with medical terminology is preferred. Must have one year of experience in a hospital/physician practice with knowledge of insurance verification, pre-certification, billing, and contract knowledge is preferred.
