Qualifications

• Must have keyboarding and basic bookkeeping knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and patients, determine needs, and direct or escort to appropriate person or department.
• Answer questions by phone with information about hospital operations and regulations.
• Provide non-medical information about patients within confidentiality policy.
• Register and admit patients to ED, x-ray, laboratory, physical therapy, and other hospital services.
• Verify demographic and insurance information; obtain signatures and scan forms into the Meditech system.
• Ensure patients admitted have proper identification bracelets.
