Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certificate in Medical Front Office and/or Medical Terminology preferred.
• Six months of office, call center or healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming and efficient environment for patients and their families.
• Collect demographic information and enter/update patient records; obtain necessary consents.
• Verify insurance coverage and ensure correct coverage on the patient’s account.
• Obtain necessary pre-authorizations or referrals and explain benefits and financial responsibilities.
• Provide exceptional customer service and answer phones professionally.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and protect patient confidentiality; collect payments per policy.
• Assist patients with navigating the online patient portal and scheduling needs.
