Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred experience in a medical office clerical role.
• Prior clerical work in a medical office.
• Experience with an electronic health record, medical billing, insurance claims, medical records, and/or patient registration preferred.
• Must be comfortable with a multi-line phone system.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors and provide excellent customer service.
• Register patients, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow using templates.
• Handle inbound communications, including calls and portal messages, with professionalism.
• Collect copays, coinsurances, and outstanding balances; ensure proper paperwork for follow-up.
