Responsibilities

• Patient Access staff assign MRNs and perform medical necessity / compliance checks with care and accuracy.
• Operate the hospital telephone switchboard and relay calls with empathy.
• Explain consent forms and distribute patient education documents.
• Pre-register patient accounts and obtain demographic, insurance, and financial details.
• Review eligibility responses and enter benefit data to support POS and billing.
• Ensure audits and reporting are completed accurately and timely.
