Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Performs Medicare compliance reviews and issues Advance Beneficiary Notices as needed.
• Creates accurate estimates for patient financial responsibility and collects payments or sets up payment plans.
• Coordinates with utilization management for pre-authorization and provides necessary logistical information to patients.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and benefits; obtains pre-authorizations within set timeframes.
• Registers patients for services, ensures accuracy, and minimizes duplicate medical records.
• Collects demographic information and confirms insurance details.
• Provides coverage for PBX and handles cashiering tasks including collections and cash reconciliation.
• Maintains timely communication between departments to enhance patient experience.
