Job summary

Franciscan Health Lafayette East Campus is seeking a Patient Access Representative I to preregister and register patients, counsel on financial responsibilities, and coordinate with care teams. You will collect demographic data and ensure HIPAA compliance while guiding patients through the registration and billing steps.

The role involves interviewing patients to obtain accurate information, entering insurance details, and collecting co-pays and balances.

Qualifications

• Preferred Associate’s Degree.
• Required High School Diploma/GED.
• Required Professional/Vocational/Trade Training.

Responsibilities

• Interview patient and family to collect registration information.
• Enter insurance policy number, group number, address, and telephone numbers and patient billing data and clinical data.
• Verbally interview patient and/or family to obtain registration information.
• Identify patient liabilities and counsel patients on copayment and balances.
• Complete pre-registrations to maintain patient flow.
• Part-time, Evenings 3 pm to 11:30 pm.
