Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one year of hospital or clinic revenue cycle experience.
• Working knowledge of computers; Medical terminology required.
• Medical terminology may be covered through SEH training during orientation.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Basic keyboard/typing skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Calculator skills.

Responsibilities

• Works as part of a multidisciplinary team to answer inquiries.
• Troubleshoot problems and provide information.
• Handle referrals with professional, respectful customer service (phone or in person).
• Provide support for day-to-day operations in a health care environment.
• First and ongoing point of contact for all clients (phone or in person).
• Provide scheduling or patient enrollment for services.
• Enter/update demographic, financial/billing, and caregiver contact information.
• Verify third-party payer coverage; collect self-pay balances.
• Schedule patients for planned clinical services; make referrals to resources.
• Obtain/initiate authorizations for clinical services; obtain signatures for billing and treatment.
• Coordinate self-pay workflows; assist patients with SE Health financial assistance programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
