Job summary

Ally Medical ER is seeking a Patient Service Representative to assist patients with services, explain policies, and help them make informed health care decisions. Verify medical insurance and collect payment due at the time of service, while maintaining a neat and professional appearance.

In this front-office role you will input patient data into the EHR and billing systems, obtain signatures on consent forms, and support billing and records management with strict privacy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provides front office registration duties such as collecting patient demographic information, inputting insurance information, verifying benefits, and acquiring signatures on ER consent forms.
• Enters all patient information into the EHR and billing software and completes the records by scanning all signed documents and medical reports in patient files.
• Maintains patient records for the required period per policy.
• Provides medical records to other providers as requested; upon completion of authorization to release information signed by the patient.
• Logs payments and cash receipts using Square and maintains the cash drawer during shifts.
• Maintains accurate billing records and payer information.
