Qualifications

• Two years in validating/obtaining authorizations with insurance payers.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Must complete and pass the Patient Access training course.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, Medicare structure and medical necessity.
• Understanding of insurance contracts, collections and pre-certifications.

Responsabilités

• Request, follow-up, obtain and validate authorizations/referrals/notifications with CPT/ICD-10 codes.
• Operate in a call center type environment and meet quality metrics.
• Coordinate patient flow and timely processing within department workflows.
• Maintain knowledge of pricing, financial assistance and Revenue Cycle operations.
• Support go-lives, onboarding and training of team members; participate in committees.
