Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma, GED, or higher required.
• Experience: 3–5 years customer service experience required.
• Associates degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
• ADT systems and Insurance Verification systems (EPIC preferred).
• HIPAA compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide general receptionist, secretarial support or Health Unit Coordinator functions.
• Handle administrative support to unit operations with discretion for patient and family needs.
• Register patients, verify demographics/insurance and collect co-pays per protocol.
• Schedule and coordinate appointments with departments and providers.
• Enter charges in billing system and follow up on unresolved items.
