Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Patient Access Associate I for Hospital Registration to be the first touchpoint for patients and visitors. You will identify and register patients, provide courteous assistance, and support the clinical team as needed in a busy hospital environment.

Roles include check-in and admission duties, data entry, and handling inquiries with accuracy. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are required on a flexible basis to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: Related experience in healthcare or customer service is preferred.
• Computer and data entry experience with MS Word, e-mail and internet comms.
• Ability to work accurately with electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and families at hospital upon arrival.
• Check in and admit patients across ages and backgrounds.
• Provide courteous customer service support for visitors.
• Support clinical teams; may assist at bedside or in care areas.
