Job summary

Glaukos Corporation seeks a Patient Access Liaison to advocate for patients, help overcome barriers to care, and coordinate with insurers, pharmacies, and providers. You will guide patients through benefit verifications, prior authorizations, and financial assistance while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

The role requires 8+ years in patient access or healthcare navigation with strong empathy, excellent communication, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Must have strong empathy and communication to support patients across insurance, pharmacy coordination, and financial assistance.
• Experience in patient access, reimbursement, or healthcare navigation (pharma/biotech/specialty pharmacy) is required.
• Knowledge of CPT/HCPCS coding and payer reimbursement strategies is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage with patients to build trust and educate on insurance, pharmacy coordination, treatments, and available support programs.
• Complete and interpret benefit verifications for coverage, cost-share, and prior authorization needs.
• Coordinate with specialty pharmacies and HUBs to resolve access issues and ensure timely delivery of therapy.
• Guide patients through copay and patient assistance enrollment, collaborating with Reimbursement Liaisons to resolve financial challenges.
• Coordinate treatment scheduling with healthcare providers and sites of care, ensuring smooth transitions between steps.
• Document all patient interactions in the CRM per SOPs and regulatory requirements, maintaining HIPAA compliance.
