Qualifications

• At least one year working in registration in a hospital setting or equivalent.
• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Typing 40 WPM, experience working with computers, faxes, multiline phones, copiers, printers and other office machines.
• When working in Emergency Dept, Mgmt of Assaultive Behavior certification required within 90 days of first assignment in Emergency Dept.
• Excellent customer service skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, excellent communication skills, strong team player, medical terminology
• Basic Life Support , MAB - Mgmt of Assaultive Behavior

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Supervisor of Admitting Services, the Admitting Representative will be responsible for assisting with patients and families in a prompt and courteous manner.
