San Dimas Community Hospital, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Patient Account Registrar for evening shifts to support patient admissions with accurate demographics and insurance information.

You will collaborate with the Admitting department, input data, verify eligibility, and communicate effectively with patients across ages. Hospital experience preferred; medical terminology knowledge helps.

Qualifications

• Previous hospital experience as an admissions representative preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize needs to meet required timelines.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Customer Services experience required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsabilités

• Interview the patient or representative to obtain demographics and insurance information.
• Secure eligibility, benefits and authorizations as applicable.
• Work closely with Admitting department and PBX operator function.
• Operate computer to input and retrieve data.
• Communicate with patients across age groups using age-appropriate techniques.
• Maintain proficiency in medical terminology.
