Texas Health is seeking an Admissions Specialist in Patient Access Services at Texas Health Southlake. This PRN role involves gathering financial and demographic information to streamline billing, verifying benefits, and obtaining necessary consents and signatures.

You will help patients understand financial obligations, collect payments, and ensure adherence to regulations and policies while delivering high-quality care in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience required.
• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Good written, oral, and telephone communication skills.
• Knowledge of general office equipment and PC software.
• Typing speed of 35 WPM (corrected).
• General knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Gathers complete financial and demographic information for billing processes.
• Obtains updates on verification of benefits and pre-certification where applicable.
• Explains and obtains signatures on legal/ethical/compliance documents; maintains records.
• Maximizes reimbursement by identifying insurance details and preventing denials; notifies insurers timely.
• Assists patients in understanding financial obligations; collects co-pays, deposits, and balances.
• Adheres to regulations and policies; follows customer service and productivity guidelines.
