Responsibilities

• Admits/registers patients for office visits, procedures, diagnostic testing or hospital admission.
• Collects and enters all necessary demographic and billing information with timeliness and accuracy.
• Explains policies and gathers signatures per hospital policy.
• Notifies departments of patient arrival and coordinates transport to rooms as needed.
• Performs pre-admission and insurance verification processes as required.
• Greets patients, families and visitors at the registration desk in a courteous manner.
• Coordinates with inpatient departments to book and schedule patients when applicable.
