Job summary

Prime Healthcare seeks an Admitting Supervisor at Saint John Hospital in Leavenworth, KS. The role oversees patient admissions, registration and insurance verification, ensuring accurate and welcoming patient access services. 8-hour days with some weekends, full-time.

You will supervise admitting staff, coordinate workflows, and partner with clinical teams to deliver smooth admissions and maintain high service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required (effective 4/1/14)
• 1–2 years experience as a supervisor in Admitting areas of an acute care facility preferred
• Knowledge of third party payer principles and COBRA laws preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Admitting staff, ensuring efficient workflow and staffing coverage
• Oversee patient registration, insurance verification, pre-admission and admission processes for accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate with clinical departments, physicians and hospital staff to support smooth admissions and transitions
• Train, coach, and provide ongoing support to Admitting staff and address performance concerns
• Promote excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with patients, families and staff
