Job summary

The Sheppard Pratt Careers in Towson, MD seeks an Access Coordinator to be the first contact for admissions inquiries, collecting psychiatry, demographic and insurance data to determine level of care. The role includes clinical triage, referrals to internal services or external resources, and, depending on assignment, primary coordination of inpatient admissions.

You will actively market services to external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of progressively more responsible clinical experience.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of IDX and/or Sunrise preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact to patients and families for admission or referral.
• Collect and evaluate psychiatric, demographic and insurance data to determine level of care.
• Provide clinical triage and referrals to Sheppard Pratt services or external resources.
• Coordinate inpatient admissions when assigned.
• Actively market Sheppard Pratt programs to internal and external groups.
• Complete written and online admissions/referrals documentation.
