Kids for the Future in San Francisco seeks a Pathways & Partnerships Specialist to implement job readiness training and coordinate work-based learning experiences for youth. You will develop internships, job shadows, and placements while engaging employers and community partners.
Collaborating with the Director and Burton staff, you will recruit and train employers, build relationships, and support a diverse student population in a fast-paced setting.
Under the direction of the Director of College and Career Pathways, the Pathways &
Partnerships Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation of job
readiness training and work-based learning experiences through Burton's Pathway
Program. The Pathways & Partnerships Specialist will work side-by-side with the
Pathways & Partnerships Director and Burton staff to provide job readiness
training, develop work-based learning opportunities, including job shadows,
internships, and work-placements, and recruit, train and support employers. Highly
collaborative, the Pathways and Partnerships Specialist builds and maintains strong
and productive relationships with and among youth, families, Bayview YMCA staff,
partner organizations and community members of the Bayview. They should be adept
at working in a fast paced environment with students of color and thinking fast on their feet.
The Pathways and Partnerships Specialist must be available Monday - Friday; 8:30am-6:30pm. Hours may vary slightly in accordance with the SFUSD calendar and program needs, including some nights and weekends. The Pathways and Partnerships Specialist is not scheduled to work during the SFUSD holidays during the school year, including Thanksgiving, winter, and spring breaks, but may have opportunities to work at other programs in that time.
