Job summary

Baxter Health Laboratory is seeking a Laboratory Compliance Specialist to oversee assigned sections, supervise staff, and ensure charge capture and regulatory compliance. The role works with the Laboratory Director to implement best practices and maintain QA standards in a hospital-lab environment.

The candidate will handle documentation, data management, and adherence to CAP/CLIA guidelines while supporting safety and efficient operations across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with science classes to meet CAP/CLIA requirements.
• 1 year of on-the-job experience without attending a program or certification.
• Specialized schooling or on-the-job education in a specific skill area (clerical/administrative).
• Any certification useful to the job such as Transcription or Healthcare Coding (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Supervise personnel performing activities and charge capture/compliance duties.
• Ensure that all activities and assets of assigned sections meet departmental and organizational goals.
• Collaborate with the Laboratory Director on data management, QA, regulatory needs and best practices.
