Job summary

Park Nicollet Health Services is seeking a Pathology Technician to join our team. The role performs pre-analytic specimen receiving, processing, and related pathology laboratory support duties in accordance with laboratory procedures, helping ensure accurate results and efficient workflow.

Required qualifications include five+ years in an anatomic pathology lab and a High School diploma or equivalent; an Associate degree in medical laboratory technology or health science is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in medical laboratory technology or health science program (preferred).

Required Qualifications
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

• Five or more years working in an anatomic pathology laboratory
• High School diploma or equivalent
  

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Laboratory Information System, Microsoft Office (including e-mail and calendar), personal computer, bar-code scanner, telephone, copier, FAX machine, personal Protective Equipment (including N95 or PAPR), safety hood, laboratory instrumentation for routine histology & cytology processing as appropriate, automated specimen processors, staining equipment, cover slippers, embedding center, microtome, cryostat, centrifuge, microscope, solvent recyclers.
  

Preferred Qualifications
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:

• Associate degree in medical laboratory technology or other Health Science Program
