Job summary

Vistant seeks a Patient Records Technician in Silver Spring, MD to support the Joint Pathology Center contract. You will accession cases into JPIMS, assign to subspecialties, and ensure accurate tracking of materials and transfers.

This role works under supervision to maintain compliance and timely processing. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in medical records or warehouse management, experience with electronic databases and barcode systems, and strong attention to detail and communication.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical records processing, screening and filing procedures.
• Understanding of anatomy, physiology and medical terminology; attention to detail for QA.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Accession cases into JPIMS as they are received.
• Assign cases to pathology subspecialties based on preliminary information.
• Balance workload to achieve optimal case turnaround time.
• Log transfers and ensure proper documentation in computer systems.
• Maintain organization and tracking of materials and shipments.
