Job summary

Vistant is seeking a Patient Records Technician to support the DHA JPC Contract at the Joint Pathology Center in Silver Spring, MD. The role involves accessioning cases into JPIMS, assigning to subspecialties, and ensuring accurate transfer and logging of materials.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in medical warehouse management, strong data entry skills, and the ability to handle formalin-fixed tissues while maintaining confidentiality and high accuracy.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical records processing, screening, and filing.
• 3–5 years experience in medical warehouse management.
• Experience with electronic databases and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Accession cases into JPIMS as received from contributors.
• Assign cases to pathology subspecialties based on preliminary info.
• Balance workload to optimize case turnaround time.
• Log transfers and update electronic systems with accession numbers.
• Maintain accuracy of accessioned materials and files.
