Job summary

Deciphex is seeking a Project Manager to own the delivery of sponsor pathology projects for pharma and biotech clients, from post-SOW scope through completion. You will coordinate pathologists and lab teams, manage specimen and digital slide logistics, and ensure all deliverables meet spec and timelines.

This post-sales, client-facing role requires influencing without direct authority, strong communication, and proximity to our Naperville-area lab for occasional on-site work.

Qualifications

• Hands-on histopathology experience; exposure to clinical trials or biomarker studies ideal.
• Demonstrated project management experience, especially with pharma/biotech biomarker or sample logistics.
• Degree in biomedical science or related field; equivalent industry experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Act as main client contact from SOW through project completion.
• Coordinate pathologists and lab/technical staff across multiple projects.
• Translate client requirements into study-specific protocols and instructions.
• Monitor timelines, identify slippage, and drive corrective action.
• Manage specimen, image, and data logistics (WSI transfer and data proofing).
• Maintain audit-ready documentation; ensure final reports are accurate.
