Position Details
- This position is Office Based; Naperville, Illinois.
- Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, or 7.5 hours per day (excluding 1-hour unpaid lunch). Full day: 8.5 hours including lunch, totaling 42.5 hours weekly.
- Overtime and weekend work may be required for special events.
About this Role
This role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the digital laboratory to ensure turnaround times and regulatory standards are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Receive, accession, scan, and digitize stained slides; upload for pathologist review.
- Register and maintain referring clinician and patient information.
- Return physical materials post-report issuance.
- Ensure compliance with CAP/CLIA and data protection standards.
- QC and review scanned slides; maintain documentation and library.
- Respond to technical support inquiries and troubleshoot issues.
- Maintain KPIs and adhere to turnaround times.
- Support out-of-office hours and research technical support.
- Act as Responsible Person in Manager's absence; delegate tasks.
- Assist with training, audits, SOP refinement, and regulatory responsibilities.
- Manage shipping logistics and department scheduling.
- Document QA activities and support other roles as needed.
- Follow health and safety requirements.
Required Skills and Experience
- High School Diploma in a science subject or relevant certification.
- Leadership and/or people management skills.
- Basic IT troubleshooting and electronic documentation experience.
