Job summary

University Pathologists LLC, part of Sonic Healthcare USA, seeks an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations and strategic growth of our laboratory and pathology services in Somerset, MA. This leadership role drives operational excellence and ensures financial and regulatory compliance across multiple locations.

The position requires strong leadership, budget management, and collaboration with physician leaders and senior management to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience in healthcare administration, laboratory operations, or a related healthcare environment.
• Proven experience managing budgets, staff, and operational performance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulatory and accreditation requirements preferred.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations across multiple laboratory and pathology practice locations.
• Develop and implement operational strategies that support growth, efficiency, and profitability.
• Manage budgets, monitor expenses, and oversee financial performance.
• Supervise and support managers, technical staff, and operational teams.

• Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and company policies.
• Monitor productivity, quality assurance programs, and operational performance metrics.
• Collaborate with corporate departments including Human Resources, Billing, IT, and Sales to resolve operational challenges and support business initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, healthcare organizations, and business partners.
• Support growth initiatives, identify new business opportunities, and enhance market presence.
