Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States or District of Columbia.
• Board certification/eligibility in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as required by VA.
• Physician residency in an approved core specialty leading to board eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Make judgments about the medical significance of lab data and communicate interpretations to providers.
• Provide diagnosis on specimens obtained by procedures such as fine-needle aspiration and surgical specimens.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and cost-effective management of laboratory resources.
