Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a Clerical Pathology Coordinator to support the pathology office. The role involves handling incoming and outgoing pathology slides and specimens, accessioning cases, processing orders, and entering results.

You will add addendums to reports and follow up on pending tasks while coordinating with external hospital departments. The successful candidate will perform specimen processing in the main clinical laboratory and gross room accessioning, providing timely status

Qualifications

• Minimum education requirement is a High School diploma.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming and outgoing pathology slides and specimens for the pathology office.
• Accession pathology cases and process in-house and reference lab orders.
• Enter results, reports and addendums; follow up on pending tasks and inquiries.
• Serve as liaison for external hospital departments and handle inquiries regarding cases.
