Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Manager to oversee the Laboratory's departmental operations under the Director. The role includes administrative oversight, compliance with point-of-care testing, and collaboration with clinical and administrative staff to support patient care and hospital objectives.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s in Medical Technology, with a preferred MBA or Health Administration and at least five years of clinical experience, including supervisory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university in Medical Technology or a closely related field is Required.
• Master's degree of Business Administration or Health Administration is Preferred.
• 5 years of clinical experience, including at least two (2) years with supervisory responsibilities, preferably in an acute care hospital setting is Required.
• Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty area applying for Required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee departmental operations of the Laboratory.
• Ensure compliance of point of care testing and affiliated offsite areas.
• Collaborate with nursing, administrative, medical and other staff to coordinate patient care activities.
