Sonora Quest Laboratories/Laboratory Sciences of Arizona in Tucson, AZ seeks a director-level supervisor for Surgical Pathology-BUMCT. The role directs pathology processes, ensures high-quality services, and manages department goals within regulatory standards.

The position includes hiring, training, performance evaluations, and regional collaboration to optimize operations. A supervisory background and experience in a high‑complexity clinical laboratory are required to lead teams effectively.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in healthcare or science related field.
• Six years’ clinical laboratory experience in a high‑complexity testing environment or pathology experience.
• Two (2) years’ supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs, organizes and controls all aspects of pathology processes to provide high quality and cost‑effective services.
• Hires, trains, conducts performance evaluations, and manages the workflow for staff, including promotions and transfers.
• Serves as a regional liaison for other regional locations.
• Confers with director to determine how to best accomplish functions within established procedures and guidelines including FTEs and expense budgets.
