Job summary

Sonora Quest Laboratories/Laboratory Sciences of Arizona seeks a senior leader to direct and manage assigned pathology department(s) and locations. You will oversee staff, ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with accreditation standards, while serving as a regional liaison for multiple sites.

Direct supervision of clinical staff, hiring, training, and performance evaluations will be part of the role.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in healthcare or science related field.
• Six (6) years’ clinical laboratory experience in a high-complexity testing environment or pathology experience.
• Two (2) years’ supervisory experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or science, Six Sigma/Lean experience, HT/PA/cytologist certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs, organizes and controls all aspects of pathology processes.
• Hires, trains, conducts evaluations and manages staff workflow; regional liaison for other locations.
• Keeps regulatory and accreditation requirements (The Joint Commission, CAP, CMS, OSHA) in compliance.
• Confer with director to manage FTEs and budgets and handle unusual situations.
