Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Lab Intern to join our team in Overland Park, KS for an 11-week paid internship. You will shadow laboratory professionals, assist with specimen organization and workspace preparation, and participate in mock testing under supervision.

Eligible candidates are currently enrolled in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology bachelor’s degree program with a strong interest in laboratory science, attention to detail, and the ability to follow

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Chemical, Biological, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology Bachelor’s degree program.
• Interest in laboratory science and diagnostics industry.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and willingness to follow laboratory procedures.
• Eagerness to learn new laboratory skills and scientific concepts.
• Show initiative and the ability to work independently under general supervision.
• Maintain professionalism, including punctuality and appropriate conduct.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Shadow laboratory professionals and learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations.
• Assist with non-testing laboratory tasks, such as specimen organization, inventory, and workspace preparation.
• Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision.
• Support approved laboratory projects.
• Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures.
