Job summary

The University of Southern California is seeking a Laboratory Assistant (Non Phlebotomist) to support licensed staff in preanalytical processes, including collection prep, accessioning and sample preparation, and to assist post-analytically in reporting results to customers.

You'll also help higher level licensed personnel with standard tests, provide clerical and laboratory support across the department, and contribute to accurate, efficient operations within the USC Keck Medicine system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• At least 1 year in a hospital lab or specimen prep.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed staff in preanalytical processes: collection prep, accessioning, and sample preparation.
• Post-analytical duties include reporting results to customers.
