Job summary

QualDerm Partners in Nashville, TN is seeking a Lab Assistant to provide administrative and lab support in our pathology laboratory. You will handle intake, data entry into Nextech EMR, and process specimens under pathologist direction.

The role requires 1–2 years in a lab or medical office, an Associates degree, and familiarity with medical terminology. We offer competitive pay, an excellent benefits package, and opportunities to grow within a fast-paced dermatology organization.

Qualifications

• At least 1-2 years experience in lab or medical office setting required.
• Understanding of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Intake and processing of specimens.
• Input data into Electronic Medical Records Nextech.
• Log incoming slides and prepares slides for physician.
• Log Pathology Reports, accession and pull charts for physician review.
• File slides and blocks.
• Compliance to safety regulations.
• Review all slides and documentation to ensure information is accurate.
• May assist with maintenance of Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes.
• May assist with ordering laboratory supplies and appropriately store supplies.
• Maintenance and storage of all lab records and patient slides, according to law.
• Input of diagnosis codes to prepare for finalizing reports for pathologists.
