Job summary

Pathology & Cytology Labs seeks a Grossing Technician to perform macroscopic examinations of higher complexity surgical tissue specimens under pathologist guidance. A minimum of 1 year of grossing experience is required.

This role may also include courier count-in, accessioning, equipment maintenance, or other duties as needed. Responsibilities include grossing, dictation, tissue sampling, QA, and accurate data entry in the LIMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of grossing experience.
• Able to multitask and work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Macroscopic examination of surgical tissue specimens with dictation and tissue sampling.
• Ensure additional studies and procedures are performed based on history and specimen type.
• Verify patient demographics, diagnoses, and test information in NovoPath and during accessioning.
