Job summary

Altasciences is seeking a Pathology Technician to perform gross examinations, necropsies, tissue trimming, and processing per SOPs. You will train on core SOPs, handle organ weighing, necropsy tasks, and EDCS data capture.

The role supports QA/QC reviews, facility maintenance, and protocol reviews, with a pathway to Lead Study Technician training. Strong biology background and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Associates accepted; biology background preferred
• 1 year biology or lab-related work if no BS/BA
• Proficiency with MS Office required
• Strong English speaking, reading, writing skills
• Aptitude for pathology and histology techniques
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving

Responsibilities

• Train on core SOPs and workflows
• Perform necropsy and tissue trimming
• Weigh organs and prepare bone marrow smears
• Use EDCS for data capture and archiving
• Quality control and protocol review
• Support lead technician training and prep for lead tasks
• Maintain necropsy suites and equipment
• Manage storage records and chemical stock
