Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Pathology required or
• Master's Degree Pathologists' Assistant preferred

• Related experience 1-2 years required
• Extensive knowledge of human anatomy and pathology terminology

Responsibilities

• Dictates gross description and complete dissection of surgical specimens.
• Selects and submits tissue sections for microscopic examination.
• Instructs residents, PA students and medical students in gross description and sampling.
• Assists in collecting and submitting tissue for teaching, research and tissue banking.
• Oversees specimen storage and records, ensuring proper authorization for postmortem examinations.
