Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Pathology required or Master's Degree Pathologists' Assistant preferred.
• 1–2 years related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Dictates gross description and dissection of surgical specimens.
• Selects and submits tissue sections for microscopic examination.
• Mentors pathology residents, PA students and medical students in gross description and sampling.
• Assists in collecting and submitting tissue for teaching, research and tissue banking.
• Oversees specimen storage and proper disposal.
• Ensures legal authorization for postmortem examinations.
