Job summary

Consolidated Pathology Nashville, part of United Surgical Partners International (USPI), is hiring a Pathologist Assistant. This role supports surgical dissection and grossing with a focus on quality and patient care, in a no-weekend, no-call, no-holiday work environment.

You will perform grossing, assist pathologists, ensure compliance with CLIA and CAP guidelines, and contribute to efficient operation of the section. NAACLS-accredited education and board registry eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a NAACLS-accredited program.
• Board-registered or eligible for registry as Pathologists’ Assistant (NCA/ASCP/AMT).
• Qualified to conduct high-complexity testing including grossing per CLIA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Meets all responsibility requirements established by the Laboratory Administrator and Medical Director.
• Adheres to state law requirements.
• Responsible for all aspects of grossing.
• Operates, calibrates and maintains grossing equipment.
• Ensures reagents, labeling and storage are correct.
• Performs grossing and tissue processing per established protocols.
