Job summary

Sonic Healthcare USA seeks a Pathologist Assistant Manager in Las Vegas, NV for a full-time role. You will oversee the Pathologist Assistant Department, implement policies, and ensure high-quality patient care through tissue handling, dissection, and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate holds an ASCP PA certification, a Master’s degree, and at least five years of supervisory experience. Expect a dynamic lab environment with a strong safety focus and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a pathology-related field.
• Completion of an ASCP-accredited Pathologist Assistant program.
• ASCP PA certification is required.
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day operations of the Pathologist Assistant Department and establishes guidelines to prioritize work production, evaluate effectiveness and improve quality of services.
• Develops and implements laboratory policies, procedures, manuals, continuing education programs and safety initiatives.
• Performs gross description and dissection of human tissue surgical specimens as part of patient care.
• Recognizes when corrective action is needed and implements effective solutions.
• Operates in a fast-paced laboratory with biological and chemical hazards and ensures safety, compliance and quality control.
