Job summary
Sonic Anatomic Pathology in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Pathologist Assistant for a hospital-based pathology lab. The role supports grossing, description, and processing of surgical specimens for histology, including frozen sections and occasional autopsy cases. Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or Master’s Pathologist Assistant program NCCLS accredited.
- 1 year of laboratory experience grossing all tissue types.
- Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists BOC.
- Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Describe, gross, and process a wide range of surgical specimens for histologic examination.
- Perform frozen sections and assist with rare autopsy cases.
- Operate general laboratory equipment including microscopes, analyzers, and pipettes.
- Maintain safety, compliance, and quality control in a fast-paced lab.
