Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science from Pathologist Assistant Program (Master’s preferred).
• At least 3 years of experience in specimen grossing.
• ASCP Certification strongly preferred.
• New York State Pathologists Assistant License required (or obtained within 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Provide gross description and dissection of surgical tissue.
• Perform a wide variety of Histology processes in addition to tissue grossing.
• Tumor procurement, case setup, gross imaging, and frozen section selection.
• Mentor/educate staff and perform assigned duties as directed.
