Job summary

Mercy Hospital Springfield in Missouri is seeking a full‑time AP/CP BC/BE pathologist to join seven anatomic pathologists and a clinical pathologist. Strong general surgical pathology skills are essential, with preference for Cytopathology, GYN, or GI/liver fellowship experience.

Qualifications

• Strong general surgical pathology skills are essential, with preference for fellowship training in Cytopathology, GYN, or GI/liver pathology.
• Preference will be given to pathologists with 3+ years of independent sign-out experience.
• Exceptional candidates at any training level or subspecialty will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Mixture of biopsy and complex cases with frozen section responsibility.
• Limited clinical laboratory responsibilities.
• Limited hematopathology work (sign-out of marrows and lymphoma workups).
• No autopsies.
