Job summary

Meritus Medical Center Laboratory in Hagerstown, MD is seeking 2 full-time AP/CP board-certified pathologists to join our hospital-based group of 3 full-time pathologists. Board-certified or eligible and MD license required.

We welcome applications from experienced pathologists and those currently in residency or fellowship training. The group reviews 16,000+ general surgical pathology cases and 2,000+ non-gyn cytology cases.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in AP/CP.
• Must be able to secure Maryland medical license.
• Additional fellowship training is appreciated but not required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret a broad range of surgical pathology cases including GI, GU, breast, gyn, lung, skin biopsies and related resections.
• Be available for on-call frozen sections, grossing issues, and general pathology questions.
• Provide oversight of clinical pathology areas (chemistry, microbiology, hematology) with initial assistance from the medical director.
