Dawar Consulting, Inc. seeks a Pathobiology Specialist/Research Associate III in Foster City, CA to support drug discovery and preclinical research with hands-on IHC, histology, and tissue-based assay development.

This long-term contract role requires a BS or MS with relevant experience and involves developing, optimizing, and validating IHC and CISH assays, antibody optimization, troubleshooting, and presenting findings to cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• BS or MS with relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with IHC, histology, tissue handling, and assay/method development.
• Experience with antibody optimization/validation and assay troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated experience supporting drug discovery, preclinical research, or target validation.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and validate IHC and CISH assays and antibody reagents.
• Perform and troubleshoot IHC/histology assays using human and animal tissues.
• Develop tissue-based endpoints to support drug discovery, target identification, and validation.
• Plan and independently execute experiments, analyze results, troubleshoot issues, and provide scientific recommendations.
• Identify and implement improvements to IHC/histology workflows, technologies, and throughput.
• Collaborate with internal research teams, CROs, and external partners.
• Present scientific findings and recommendations to cross-functional and senior leadership teams.
