Job summary

The Research Associate II in Histology/IHC at ImmunEdge in Redwood City will join Translational Science & Biomarkers to support preclinical and clinical programs through biomarker discovery, development, and validation.

You will independently section FFPE specimens, perform IHC/ISH and H&E, optimize assays, maintain records, and ensure reliable histology workflows while collaborating with scientists and cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

Certification/eligibility: HT or HTL (ASCP) or equivalent.
Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or related field.
2+ years histology and IHC in R&D, translational science, or clinical lab.
Work on site; perform repetitive microtomy and staining tasks.
Proficient in fixation, processing, embedding, microtomy, H&E and IHC.
Experience with automated IHC stainers and scanners (Leica BOND, Ventana, etc.).

Responsibilities

Prepare and section FFPE blocks using a microtome to produce high‑quality sections.
Perform single‑plex and multiplex IHC/ISH, H&E staining, and whole‑slide scanning.
Develop, optimize, and validate singleplex/multiplex IHC and ISH assays.
Maintain clean systems and equipment; routine cleaning of microtomes and stainers.
Monitor supplies, track expirations, and maintain study records.
Collaborate with researchers and cross‑functional teams while managing experiments.
