Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in Washington, DC seeks an Intellectual Property Associate to join its IP team. The role involves patent prosecution and litigation work alongside a group of seasoned attorneys.

You will draft and prosecute patent applications before the USPTO, develop IP portfolios, mentor junior associates, and contribute to pre-litigation due diligence. Qualifications include 2–4 years post-JD experience, USPTO admission, and admission in DC, NY, MA, or CA; a JD from an accredited school

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of post-JD experience in patent prosecution and IP litigation
• Admission to practice before the USPTO
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state/jurisdiction where the position is based (DC/MA/NY/CA)

Responsibilities

• Draft and prosecute patent applications before the USPTO
• Develop and manage strategic IP portfolios for clients
• Provide mentorship and training to junior associates
• Conduct pre-litigation diligence
• Draft pleadings, conduct legal research, and prepare expert witnesses
• Engage in post-grant proceedings, such as inter partes reviews and post-grant reviews
• Participate in taking and defending depositions
